Rural Enterprise Acceleration Project(REAP)-Gramothan

Rural Enterprise Acceleration Project(REAP)-Gramothan is an externally aided project funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) under the Rural Development Department of Uttarakhand. The project aims to contribute to doubling farmers’ income and reducing distress migration. The development aims to build resilience of rural households by diversifying income sources through intensive cluster-based climate-resilient production systems of select value chains, promoting agricultural, non-agricultural and non-farm enterprises and a supporting ecosystem. REAP covers all 95 blocks of all 13 districts of Uttarakhand. The project financing agreement was signed on 2 June 2022 and the project became effective on the same day. The project completion date is 31 March 2029.
