    (I) Background:–

    In line with the national vision of ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’, the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Grameen); VB-G RAM G (Viksit Bharat – G RAM G), Uttarakhand, in the State of Uttarakhand, shall guarantee 125 days of statutory wage employment in every financial year to rural households whose adult members are willing to undertake unskilled manual work. The main objective of this Scheme is to build a prosperous and empowered rural India through the development of rural areas. Under this Scheme, thematic focus shall be placed on water security, livelihood-related infrastructure, and special works to mitigate the impacts of climate change. The Scheme shall ensure convergence at the Gram Panchayat level by integrating with PM Gati Shakti and geospatial systems. To make the process of implementation of the Scheme transparent, modern digital technologies such as the biometric attendance system, monitoring through GPS, MIS  ashboards and Artificial Intelligence (AI) shall be used. This Scheme is committed to providing livelihood to rural people while strengthening transparency, accountability and citizen engagement.

    (II) Main Objectives:–

    The main objective of the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Grameen); VB-G RAM G (Viksit Bharat – G RAM G), Uttarakhand, is to provide a statutory guarantee of 125 days of employment in every financial year to such rural households of the State whose adult members are willing to undertake unskilled manual work, so that a rural framework of the State of Uttarakhand may be established in line with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. This Scheme shall promote social and economic development along with the empowerment of rural people. In order to make the State prosperous, mainly four types of works shall be undertaken under the Scheme, which are as follows:–
    (a) Providing water security to the people through integrated management of natural resources.
    (b) Development of basic rural infrastructure.
    (c) Creation of infrastructure related to livelihood promotion.
    (d) Undertaking works to cope with extreme climate-related disasters.

    (III) Implementing Department:–

    The Rural Development Department, Government of Uttarakhand, shall be the department responsible for implementation of the “Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Grameen); VB-G RAM G (Viksit Bharat – G RAM G)”.
    (IV) Nature of the Scheme:–
    The Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Grameen); VB-G RAM G (Viksit Bharat – G RAM G), Uttarakhand, shall be implemented jointly by the Central Government and the State Government as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme, in accordance with the cost-sharing provisions contained in the Government of India’s “Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Grameen); VB-G RAM G (Viksit Bharat – G RAM G) Act, 2025”.

    How To Apply

    Applications for work may be oral or written and may be made to the Ward Member, the Gram Panchayat, the Programme Officer, any person authorised by the State Government, or through the digital platform, or through any other medium authorised by the State Government. Applications for work may be made either individually or jointly by a group.
